"Dakota Niners is a great organization of coaches and players. I appreciated
the weekly practices that the Niners have.  I learned almost as much from
being at the practices as I did from playing in the tournaments. The Niners
put together a really strong team that was competitive in every tournament!
Many of the players are strong competitors from all across South Dakota.
Coaches from several colleges made contact with me as a result of playing
with the Niners.  I'm really glad I had this experience, and would encourage
any player who is interested in improving their game to consider the Dakota
Niners organization."  - Nathan Wedel

2014 South Dakota
Class "B" champion James Valley Christian

Nathan will run Track and play Basketball for Northwestern (IA) after graduation.

Nathan Wedel, Summer 2013 Dakota Niner, will be awarded the South Dakota Coaches Association's Class B "Player of the Year" tonight at the SD All-Star Games in Aberdeen. Nate was not able to participate in the games due to commitments with his future college basketball team, but the award will be given at half-time of the boys' game tonight. Our family thanks the Dakota Niners and Nate's awesome teammates for a great summer of confidence-building and life-time friendships! The Niners is a great organization! - Helene Wedel

"Thank you Dakota Niners for making me a better basketball player and
for helping my team make it to the South Dakota State "A" tournament.
I am thankful that I got to learn from the best summer coaching staff
there is."

"Justin Decker signed to play basketball with USD on November 15th,
2013.  Justin really enjoyed his time he played with the Niners. It
was a great experience for him as well as the people he met. Thank you
for giving him that opportunity."

 Dear Sirs,

Here is an update on what Collin Fitz has accomplished and what he's going to be doing:

Collin graduated May 27, 2012 from Sisseton High School.

He will be attending Lake Region State College in Devils Lake, ND this
fall on a basketball scholarship.
He played in the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate basketball tournament this spring, and was awarded best offense and best rebounder. He was also named to the all-tournament team and his team was runner-up in the tourney
In July, he will be taking part in the South Dakota All-Stars Games in Aberdeen, SD

We as his parents are glad that he got to be a part of the Dakota Niners program last year, we really feel it made him a better player in his last year of high school. It was fun
getting to know the other kids and their parents...and then reading or hearing about the
kids as they played basketball during the year at their respective schools. Thanks again
for the opportunity. We truly enjoyed it!

Lori Fitz

Good luck to the Niners this summer!  Carl had a great experience playing with
the team last summer.  His skills and confidence greatly improved and we are
looking forward to his senior season with the Tri-Valley basketball season!

Bill Soyland was wonderful.  His skills, sense of humor, and sincere desire to
help the boys be the best they can be made a world of difference to Carl.
Thanks again for asking Carl to play last summer!
